Authentic Duality

Tom and I are birthing a mutual creative endeavor which we named moTom.  At its core the concept is about balance, symmetry, and reflection. We share a mutual goal to create something that expresses symmetry in unexpected ways. I think of it as something that is in harmony with itself and it’s surroundings.  I call it an authentic duality. Tom refers to it as a reflective duality.

Tom and I approach photography differently. It is important for us not to succumb to the influence of the other’s photographic style. I like the surprise element, the not so perfect perfection, and I do not object to using photoshop filters and effects in my photographs.

Tom sets goals for his photography to be “as shot” with minimal or no photoshop adjustments. Tom brings his architectural training to his compositions.  For me it’s all about the decisive moment…
