Yesterday evening I woke up from a really great nap and looked in on Tom who was watching his evening T.V. shows. As we discussed what to do for dinner, I looked over my shoulder and caught a glimpse of this beautiful moon with a golden tint reflecting on the lake. Oops, hold that thought Tom, I’ve got to go capture the moon while it is still just light enough outside.
This year has started out with unexpected shake ups affecting areas of life I felt were secured. Ha! What is that saying “man plans and the gods laugh!” So far I literally feel like I’ve been thrown to the wolves. Therefore it is totally appropriate for me that the first full moon of 2016 is a Wolf Moon! In some cultures it is referred to as “the Old Moon,” which is also quite fitting. LOL!
This full moon is in the sign of Leo and as Leo usually does, it is displaying it’s brilliance to an audience of planets. Five of them to be exact. The planets, Mercury retrograde in Capricorn, Venus in Capricorn, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Virgo, and Saturn in Sagittarius, are lining up for a cosmic dance with the full moon. My quote for 2016 is “throw me to the wolves and I will return leading the pack!”
So what does this planetary alignment mean? Well to break it down, the moon in leo brings attention to the heart. It tells me I need to focus on my heart energy. I need to learn that it’s okay to want empathy and say I need! Awww. I must pay attention to my health and how it affects my heart. It is important to consider my physical health as well as my psychological and emotional health. It is time for me to get serious about identifying the areas of my life that bring me happiness and develop a plan to remove the things that destroys my happiness. I feel the need to review my creative gifts, identify one or two and move forward with developing those. My job these next two months is to find the things that I love and work on building my next career around doing those things I really, really, enjoy. My goal is to find the excitement in being alive and immerse myself in that. When the sun enters aquarius on the 25th I hope to be energized enough to give energy to the others in my life who need me (sun in aquarius).
Other aspects and energies include Saturn in mutable Sagittarius trine to Uranus in cardinal Aries, both fire signs. Change is in the air. These aspects tells me to watch for affects that are serious and long lasting (saturn) and unexpected (uranus). There will be a need to develop patience which will cause frustrations. (Saturn in Sagittarius & Uranus in Aries both lack patience). Ahhh, this sounds like us dealing with Tom’s stroke.
The pictures of Tom embedded here are post stroke. Tom is doing so much better than I expected. I catch moments like the one above where he is quite and reflective. I can only guess at what is going through his mind.
Mercury conjunct Pluto in Capricorn means deep thinking, and finding ways to transform my life situation. Explore new ways to approach health and income. Explore sound frequencies and resonance technologies. Uranus in Aries squares Mercury / Pluto. These planets are already sending vibrations that can cause frustrations by requiring a need to develop patience. Patience is a trait that I do not possess and do not handle well. I want it done now! I want to see the results now! I have a hard time waiting, but it looks like I will be doing a bit of waiting.
Arggghhh! I need to do some out of the box thinking and find a way to look at things differently. Viewing things from a different angle reveals new ways of approaching issues. Maybe, I’ll try writing or cooking by using my left hand instead of my dominate right hand to shake up my brain. That’s what Tom is doing.
Neptune in pisces and Mars in scorpio are trine. This brings a message for me to trust my intuition. Tune in and breathe. Listen to my inner thoughts and feelings not just my need to be instantly gratified by having things done now. Learning to live fully immersed in the now.“Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”
― Eckhart Tolle
Neptune is photography, in pisces (water) maybe I need to explore photographing more water and fish scenes? Or maybe I need to print and sell my sunrise and birds flying over the lake images. Mars in Scorpio tells me to be ready to take action. Things are changing, and will require action from me. Get out of time and space, and zone. For the next two weeks it’s time to connect to my inner joy and make a difference in my life.
