The setting was lovely. Desiree designed a wonderful theme and Olive’s family came together for her 1st year milestone. It was a magical day. Everything was perfectly mad, the cake, cookies, cucumber-tea- sandwiches, all the way to the croquette game that no one was sure how to play.
All the guests donned their best mad-hats and glistened in the humid Florida weather. The Olive had so much fun! She interacted with everyone and faired well in the heat even though her little round cheeks glowed red and her hair was drenched. Droplets of water poured down her face but with a little hydration she managed to maintain a happy disposition through the entire event.
Both Tom and I had our camera’s with us. I shot quite a few shots hand held before I put my camera on the tripod, set the shooting mode to manual, set the exposure and f-stop and invited others to shoot. Desiree shot a couple of frames as did Thea. I knew I would be able to adjust any lighting deficiencies in post. The majority of the shots were out of camera perfect and we all had a fantastic time of it! Here are some of my favorites
Sunday, August 17th @ 3 p.m. down the rabbit hole we went to Olive’s 1st un-birthday party at Memaw’s backyard. Impossible? “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
